The Genesis Drop allocates 8.74% of that supply in three parts: a community allocation of about 6.54%, a 2.10% Distinguished Contributors allocation (Protocol Guild, L2BEAT, ZachXBT, ZK Podcast), and 0.10% for ZK Arcade players. Claims opened the week of August 20 at airdrop.alignedlayer.com. Eligibility is retroactive, so there is nothing to farm — but if you've been active in Ethereum or ZK communities, checking costs nothing, and many people never check.

Aligned's own blog (blog.alignedlayer.com) published 'Aligned Airdrop Details' on August 18, 2026 (8.74% split, vesting, Base vs Ethereum L1 claims), '$ALIGN Is Live' on August 20 (claims live at airdrop.alignedlayer.com), and 'A Note on Airdrop and Operator Claims' on August 24. airdrop.alignedlayer.com resolves ('ALIGN Airdrop Eligibility'), and community.alignedlayer.com redirects to it. No claim deadline is stated in any of those posts. We strip referral codes; this link is clean. Still — type it yourself if anything feels off.

Scam watch for this airdrop: The only claim portal is airdrop.alignedlayer.com (the older checker address community.alignedlayer.com now redirects there), under the canonical alignedlayer.com (X: @alignedlayer). ALIGN is a live, listed token, which makes it a prime target for fake 'ALIGN claim' and 'bonus airdrop' pages. The portal never needs your seed phrase, and a claim never requires sending tokens first.
